Things wrong with this theory:
1. This theory was debunked by Danny Antonucci a long time ago
2. The characters are based on people Antonucci knew (mostly family), not different time periods
3. The children have different colored tongues because of the different candies they eat
4. There are adults in the show, they appear in season 5 & 6, not to mention Eddy’s older brother is an adult and literally appears onscreen in Big Picture Show

This Theory, I've heard one too many times before, the reason that they have different colored tongues is because of their candy obsession. Confirmed by the creator.
The characters can't be dead because the outlines are too shaky.

Where the hell do people come up with this sh**. This is more weirder than how people thought they have no parents until the final season, the school nurse, ed's mom, eddy's dad even rolf's parents made tiny small appearances.

Parents are referred to often, and are even featured without heads (Eddie’s dad grabbing him from off screen). Colored tongues are from jawbreakers and candy.

Creator had the “old men” episode as the original ending (it was all Eddy’s dream), but was retconned when the show continued into high school.

This is the fourth dead theory of a kids cartoon I’ve heard. First it was Recess, then teletubies, I think KND, now this. What’s next? Craig of the Creek? A theory that Rudy from chalk zone has schizophrenic episodes of his drawings coming to life?
