I had mine removed yesterday but they used local anesthetic and laser. No pain so far

Was general anesthesia recommended for this? Or would local have worked as well?

Is the type anesthesia optional for you? I have a lipoma on my shoulders but I want just a local anesthesia. I have a fear of being put under. Lol

I’ve had this procedure three times all with local anesthesia. It was super easy and I was in and out of the office in maybe 1 hour or a little more each time.

Why did they give you general anesthesia?

My mom had a deep rooted lipoma removed from the same spot. Besides the pain from the incision, she complains of severe tightness. Please is this normal?

I just had a nice size one removed in the same place a few days ago. I'm not a pill popper so I've declined to take pain medication. Actually, my lipoma was located between my neck and arm. I'm surprised you're in a sling.
