I don don’t think you are cheap, you are actually very clever. You want to use your money for what really matters to you and you don’t want to sacrifice your time doing something you don’t enjoy to buy things that other people think that we need ❤. I am happy you realize that so early in life 😊

As someone who found simplicity and minimalism decades ago I would say that greatly impacted my freedom. I had to retire at 51. Had I not been frugal and saved when I got sick I would still have to work. As for spending, I think that the guilt is just part of the habits that we built in order to get ourselves to the place that we are financially. For the most part 90% of people don’t get to financial freedom without sacrifice. By the time you get there you don’t value stuff very much anymore.
I love your channel & message. Wishing you all the best.

Great insights. As a 54 year old, I truly envy your approach to life.
If only I had such wisdom when I was your age.

I like being able to tell people about my washer and dryer, which is from the 90's...my husband has repaired both of them a couple of times. But it actually works better than the newer models. Im so proud of it, lol😂

I live a simple life because I wish to live lightly upon the earth. Living this way brings me joy and peace. These things insulate me from criticism of my life style.
It is a mistake to think that this can be achieved without a thoughtful process. I am glad to see that you have designed a course of study to guide others along this path so that what took me half a lifetime to achieve might not take others so long. Hurray for you and your endeavor.

I think that people should do with their money what they want. Spend it on things that matter most to you. For some people that's having 7 pairs of shoes every month, for others it's traveling.
I'm not frugal, but I have little expenses every month which allows me to save up a lot. That allowed me to travel on my own without having to scrimp and stay in low-budget hostels.

Great job, Seve!
While I'm more frugal now, I had to learn how bad debt is on my skin a few times, and it was a costly but great lesson.
Holding on to some things is definitely cool, and it gives them personality! I have bought a new laptop a few years ago, after having the previous one for 11 years. The cool thing is that some research goes a long way (like how easy it is to replace a component, upgrade, etc).
Was wondering if you'd consider an idea for a future video: simple living in the urban vs rural environment :D

I didn't expect you to mention Slovenia - my home country. I live in Dublin now but it's always nice to hear it be mentioned!

Hi Seve! Been watching your videos for hours. I love your videos and its inspiring me. I'm just confused about the house thing. I bought a house even though it won't make me money because by loaning to buy a house, it saves me from paying rent and a house is actually an appreciating asset in my country (because of rising land costs). You think that's still a good move? Cause I think so. Anyway, just wanted to comment cause I see you take time replying to comments. Keep being awesome, Seve!

I'm too smart and frugal to pay for your ridiculous course. I recommend working part time and actually contributing something helpful to society. I hope none of you "Content Creators" ever show up in my ER in the dire need of help...
