If youre looking to impress your guests this summer, this Deep Fried Shrimp Burger is one of the best things I’ve ever made! If you can fry chicken, you can make these! I made my own lemon zest aioli, but you can use any condiments of your choice for toppings. 🔥🤤
Ingredients:
About 2 1/2 lbs of Jumbo Sized Shrimp (makes about 3-4 patties)
Wet Batter:
1 cup Flour (sifted)
1/2 cup Starch- (sifted)
1 tsp Adobo Seasoning
1/4 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp White Vinegar
1 cup Water (if way too thick, add a little more)
Dry Batter:
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Adobo
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions:
Clean and devein the shrimp.
Mince the shrimp up into very small pieces per the video and season with any seasonings of your choice, then mix until the seasoning is incorporated.
Form them into patties and freeze them for about 2 hours or until rock solid hard.
Dip them into the wet batter first, then the dry batter.
Fry them at 365 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. (cooking time will depend on how thick your pattie are)
*The batter used in the video is an old commercial batter. My batter listed in the caption is my original recipe and will be golden brown.
