The crew work long hard hours with no days off for many months. We try to make their life easier by keeping our state room tidy and tipping well. The crew do so much to make our vacation special and we like to show appreciation. I can't blame them for partying hard.

Always treat crew and staff with upmost respect! They work tirelessly seven days a week! Never had bad experience with crew or staff ! Rule number one in take care of them and they will take care of you!

On my last cruise I went back to my room and my steward was outside my room. He smiled at me and gave me a strange look. My luggage was inside buzzing. I had to laugh it was my husbands rechargeable razor. I'm sure that is not what my steward thought.

Crew member here, & all true! I didn’t think that “happy endings” were a thing in ship spas, but maybe I’m naive. Don’t forget about the moles, or “fake passenger”. Ppl hired by the company to engage you in conversation about tea you should not spill, or do things you should not do, then they report you & you’re sent home. Did NOT happen to me lol, just sayin’.

My friend hooked up with a crew member, but the crew sneaked to our stateroom like 1am, 3 nights in a row as well. I was surprised he wasn’t caught. Fortunately we had 2 separate beds but still it was quite daring of that crewmate working as a bartender to do that 3 nights in a row and not caught

I found an I-Phone once on a lounge chair and gave it to a crew member who asked me for my cabin number.
The next day I got an envelope with $100 bill from the owner. I returned the money to Guest Services to give it back as both the crew member and I did the right thing. No reward necessary.

All true, especially #3. Working on a cruise ship is great, every night is a Saturday and every morning is a Monday.

Senior citizen here... retired from teaching a few yrs. ago. Never been on a cruise, but already booked a transatlantic crossing on QM2 in 2022. Thanks for all your background info. Both informative & entertaining. Ya' got me as a new subscriber.

I worked as a Librarian for over 30+ years and the staff always talked about the patrons. I think that is common in every business that deals with the public. When I was in the Navy, it was illegal to bring alcohol aboard, or any type of drugs. Needless to say it was being done quite frequently and I admit to indulging in both while underway from one port to another. Interesting, but not surprising to hear that the same things are happening aboard cruise ships. Love for you to do another video on this.

I've been sailing since I've been two years old I am 47 now back in the early 2000s in my twenties went on a lot of Carnival cruise I've been on every cruise line but I prefer Carnival and in the early 2000s I hooked up with several + of women that worked on the crew and all different departments from the wait staff to the steakhouse to the salon where you get your haircut to basically one of the second-in-command hotel manager which I guess is a big deal on a cruise ship I started dating one of them almost a year until her ship got relocated so Justina if your ever in Florida again say hello!

Every cruise we have been on has been a wonderful experience, thanks to crew treating us with the upmost respect and hard work. They need time to be able to be human.

I had the best of both worlds I was a passenger in an upgraded office rs crew cabin but I didn't let temptation happen to me. That's how I was able to work 15 years on cruises of my choice rather than just a few cruises. At crew training it iemphasized how important rules are and I have seen my associates kicked off for almost any violation
