I have upgraded to 14.1 and had the same issue but i was able to get over it by booting into Safe Mode and continue the process till i reached the Desktop and then i reinstalled the Root Patches and then everything worked fine with me

OCLP 1.2.0 is already in beta. So let’s wait for your next video. Many thanks to you Jessie and especially to all developers.

This happens on MacBooks. Fix: Hold shift during boot for safe mode. Once you get a login, it will finish the install. Then, if it gets stuck again on boot, safe boot again. If you get the error reporter without Finder, power down and safe boot again. When it's back at desktop, reinstall OpenCore and reboot. Boom.🎉

I got a Mac Pro 3, 1 a couple of days ago and installed a clean copy of 14.1 and the install worked without any problems, so if you already tried updating yours and got stuck in a bootloop, it might be worth trying to install a fresh copy of 14.1

I updated my Mac from Monterey to Sonoma 14.1 via system update (5.95 GB download only)on Opencore. Things work fine on my MacBook Pro2016 non touchbar. There was resolution problem on first boot after upgrading but I restarted and ran Opencore again and things work perfectly

... to late. i updated my MBP Late 2013 with OLP 1.0.1 (unfortunately i was not aware of OLP 1.1.0) and the process stopped like you shown in your video. I shut down my MBP and started it in Secure Mode. The update process continued automatecly and finished luckely without any further problem.

Had the same issue. Fix: force shutdown then restart and press and hold the shift key until you get to this point. The screen should "zoom out" and the installation will finish w/o further issues.

Thank you, you are right, slowed down my computer and did something. I had to go back to my old OS.

As others have said, safe mode reboot, install root patches and reboot normal. This happens to any MacBook running any version of OLP/macos that needs graphics root patches

Yep thanks Jessie, I found out the hard way too, luckily I was able to do a clean install back to 14.0 on my MacPro 5, 1. The 14.1 update completed, but on first boot after the update, looks like I was having graphical issues, the login screen would appear for 2 seconds then go black then show again for 2 seconds and kept cycling like that. Just wanted to share my experience. But I’m now back to 14.0 and running fine now.
