How To Land Big Drops on your Snowboard

In this video I've got a some tips to help you land big drops on your snowboard. Doing drops into powder is one one of my favourite things to do in snowboarding. It allows you to ride some more difficult terrain and can help you add more freestyle elements to your snowboarding. Thanks for the tips! Id love to see a more detailed breakdown on achieving the correct speed for jumps/step downs etc... sort of a beginners guide. How to judge, what the correct speed should feel like and consequences of over shooting vs under cooking it.

I don’t know if you do it, but something that really helps is working out your legs. Strong legs enable you to stomp much bigger drops.

One thing that helps me on steep drops is landing almost in a squatting position as it helps mitigate being too far forward or back

Do you want to land with a little more pressure toe side like with kickers? Or more mid foot?

I just got a snowboard a little bit ago it will be my first time snowboarding and I live by mountains now and not iowa it’s my Christmas present but I don’t know how to snowboard🤣 time to fall on my butt I used to skateboard though

If it's REALLY deep a cambered board is probably not your best bet
