The first accident was due to the rider being a double amputee so the restraint couldn’t properly hold him there were multiple signs stating that amputees couldn’t ride however he did the ride operators should’ve noticed this however it was not the rides fault

Possibilities like this have always scared me. It has never stopped me from riding one or enjoying it, but I make sure the bars are locked and I've got a death grip on the support. That way I can at least make an attempt to hold on "just in case". I'd rather be paranoid than dead. Lol.

Context: the first one was a veteran from the Iraq War, as he lost his legs from a bomb. A worker at the ride said all the rides were safe for him, though he wasn't tall enough.

For those who don't know, the 2nd may be a s*icide because the man asked what would happen if he landed on the floor. Apparently he wiggled out of his seat and jumped off

Another really sad one happened in schlitterbon (think that’s how you spell it) when a boy went on a slide with a few adults. he didn’t weigh enough so the life guard put him up front and when the went over a bump the raft went airborne and decapitated him. his brother was waiting for him at the bottom. 😞

I automatically assumed the first guy lost his legs falling off the ride, but apparently not having legs is the main reason he fell off, talk about unlucky .

The ride Hackemer was on was "Super man: Ride of steel". he flew off only because the restraints on the ride only secured the legs, and he lost his legs in a war. The ride was closed and later reopened with new restraints, so nobody could ever fly out again.

Car accidents happen approx 70, 000 times a day. Rollercoaster accidents happen once every 2 years or so. If you need any reassurance, just think about that

The first rider actually fell out of the biggest ride at my home park (Ride Of Steel, Six Flags Darien Lake)
It was truly shocking, although it was kind of his companion told the ride ops it would be fine despite multiple signs advising against it, and they didn't want to argue so they let him on. So it was kind of their fault.

Let’s not forget the 14 year old girl, who went on one of those tower drop things, and had both her feet sliced off by cables

The second one almost happened to me when I was a teenager. My harness failed, lifted up & I went with it, my arms above my head still holding it & but it had lifted me out of my seat so I was dangling from it. My big brother, seated next to me, reached over & slammed it back into place & locked it just as we Started the loop that went upsidedown.

It was one of the first times I'd ever been on a rollercoaster because I'd always been too little.
