fully support zhaif, i remember that video from mike rugnetta but completely forgot the culminating pronunciation over the years!! gif vs jif vs etc has always been a silly argument to me (intentionally in some cases, others needlessly hostile as the internet is want to do). as a funny aside i've been thinking about recently, thanks to mike whenever i hear "ulysses" come up in conversation- oddly more than one would expect- i think about homestuck. it's how i found the pbs ideas channel in the first place and now i can never unassociate the two.

I once tried to say "shift" when talking about a manual car with my gf and I spelled it as shidft so now we ONLY use that. Its so bad that we say it as out common vernacular and ppl get very upset
