I had great results with Stem Cell injection in my back after 3 years out with a herniated T11-12. No one wanted to do surgery because of my age and it's where the bottom rib connects which is also the largest. I literally couldn't do anything other than lay on ice all day and walk around with constant pain. Nothing made it go away, jist took the edge off. I've been pain free for over 5 years now and not even a hint of pain, and I inspect big, tall, steep roofs for a living, having to carry around a 22' and 32' ladder. Still jist floored at how well it worked. If PRP doesn't work, find the most trusted stem cell doc. Now I have arthritis in my knee at 41 and can't afford another stem injection, as it was very expensive. After reading all of yalls comments think the PRP will be a happy medium for my knee. My body has never responded to cortisone injections. Thank you all for your comments.

You can go overseas and receive PRP for much less than in the USA. 3 shots for $500 USD vs $1000-2000 per shot in the US. Plus much better treatment and attention, not rushed by the doctors and nurses.

Cost in USA=$2, 500 to $5k. Exact same treatment in MX=$350. The FDA does not want you to be well.

I had this done in my right knee. First, it hurts like crap. Second, you knee is really stiff immediately after and takes a few hours before your can start to walk normally, so NO, you cannot immediately resume normal activities, it takes time. it took about a month before i noticed a difference, definitely less stiffness and soreness in the knee now. if you have this done in a knee, take a walking stick with you, you'll need it to get back to your car.

I just learned of this yesterday. I've been dealing with pudendal neuralgia for 11 years now. I hope this will provide some relief.

Just got my PRP after two failed cortisone shots. I had really bad pain up and down my leg and knee . PRP worked instantly still swollen most of the pain is gone . WOW . Now at 55 I change my shoes every three months wearing Hokas. Uneven wear can cause knee problems, slow getting up . Anyways PRP is a winner .

I did plasma for my knees, I have a little roughness
My weight is approximately 68 lbs. Do I need to walk lightly every day and do knee exercises?
Is walking and exercises beneficial or harmful to the knee?
Should I continue taking nutritional supplements for the knee?
Please let me know and thank you

Considering this for osteoarthritis of knees however I take methotrexate for RA. Wondering if there are any contraindications and if I should skip dose week prior to PRP injection.

Would this work for osteoarthritis? And how often would a person need to do this procedure?

I am having a problem in my hip joint. My orthopedic doctor said that the cartilage in my hip joint is decreasing. Can PRP injection help me to get out of this situation. I am currently walking and doing all my work but there is a slight limping on that leg. Kindly advise.

Why is it not covered by insurance? Or approved by FDA?

Is it normal to have elbow stiffness and swelling a week after the prp injection? The day of the injection I had full range of elbow motion, but since the prp procedure six days ago my elbow is still stuck mostly unable to straighten or bend. The doctor said to take Aleve or ibuprofen along with using ice, but that goes against everything I've read or been told before regarding the first two weeks after prp injection.
