It's a Starbucks scandal: Thursday, St. Petersburg blogger Peter Schorsch decided to not pay for the person behind him, breaking a chain of hundreds of people.

Totally agree with the guy - a gift isn't given with the expectation that you do something - that is a job.

He did the right thing, that wasn't charity, that was appealing to your guilt. The blogger did the right thing. Also, this isn't newsworthy.

those same people buying each other drinks instead, the end result is they all have coffee and a false sense of pride for literally doing nothing good whatsoever to actually help better the world at all or help people who are in dire need for change.

The man who broke the chain is trying to send that message. The fact that he gave the barista a huge tip is proof that he cared and it was the single form of paying it forward that i can actually see here
