I wouldn't let a child of doctors treat me, but I'd definitely let a formerly practicing doctor do it. Ex Muslims were Muslims through and through, you can't just dismiss everything they say because "they didn't know the Quran enough", because you can't know and that's probably not the case

This is a form of cognitive dissonance that happens in all religious and spiritual beliefs. Religious people can have a clash of world views if they know that a true believer was able to leave the faith, so their brain justifies it by believing that everyone that left was never a true believer. It has been very healthy for me to listen to apostates of my faith and come to terms that their experiences and thoughts are often true and valid. I can learn so much about the flaws in the current construction of my faith and it opens the doors for me to study more rabbinic opinions I may not have even thought to look into.

I was a Muslim, but when I started to deep drive into that religion I realised that I don’t want to be a Muslim, and now current Muslims think that I left Islam because of my lack of knowledge, but actually I know more than most of the Muslims about Islam.
Edited: I think that Islam was very crucial for humanity like any other religion, because it served like a moral compass for everyone. But since we have today governments with constitutional laws, there is no more need to be religious. It’s time to let it go, because now because of the religion people are stuck in ancient traditions that stop development (especially for women, what’s not acceptable nowadays )
