At 81 on my last birthday, I have decided I do not have time to get or be old. While I am sitll blessed with enjoying good health, I am baking French bread almost every week (that I share with friends), stay active in my church, am busily involved in Family History (which keeps my cognitive skills active). Iin summer I grow a small garden, mow my lawn, and tend the flower gardens. In addition to these things I keep my own house, do my own shopping etc. Thank you for your tips on how to dress, act and feel attractive, it is more than just not looking old and frumpy, it is confidence in who we are and who we have become.

I'm nearly 65 and I was watching this...while wearing a new paisley dress. To me, it is not the pattern that is aging: it is the quality, colours, size and placement of the pattern, style, cut and length that determine how it looks. I bought it from an English shop that sells classic designs and fabric patterns primarily for the 30-40 year old age group. How a woman accessorises the dress is also important as to whether something is aging (jewellery, shoes, handbag). Finally, make-up and hairstyling can make something aging or not. I am very wary of set "rules" about what is aging or not (apart from the non-no of polyester elastic waist trousers and the unforgivable leggings and loose shirts lol). This is just my opinion and my own experience so to each his/her own! Happy New Year to all 😁

I like the boho paisley dress so much better than the other two dresses!

Your illustrations of “things going south” and “underwire” are so funny! Thanks for keeping your instruction light-hearted and comical.😂

Someone in the comments mentioned don't let any gray hair show to not look older. I disagree and think Marie-Anne would totally rock gray if she has gray. I stopped coloring my hair at 55 and now after going through salt and pepper am about to be platinum. It is so pretty! The solid black looks aging.

My tip is to have a smile on your face. Instant youth.

Excellent thoughts shared in this video. Two aging looks for women are thick black under eye liner and a very dark tan year round from a tanning salon that makes skin look like leather.

I always loved Paisley! Ad wore it happily in my 20's & 30's! I still love it! I'm 63 now

I'm 65, developed my style from my Italian mamma so I had an advantage! I look a good chunk younger but I do wonder why everyone is obsessed with looking younger. Not saying it's wrong but it is an obsession I think. And it's more about finding YOUR styles and looking healthy!! My aunt, on preparing for her 100th birthday lunch was given an option of 2 dresses that were bought for her, she looked at both, pointed to one and said ' that's so dull, it's a party, not a funeral!! And that's the attitude I've inherited!!

I'm 38. I love floral prints and paisley. 😂. I make all my own clothes exactly how I want them. Guess I'm an old lady. I also love gardening and cross stitch 😅

"That doesn't make me feel better." Marie-Anne, I love your sense of humor and honesty (but you're kind about it) in your videos. ❤

Marie-Anne, this video was laugh out loud. My favorite was exposing my "jiggly bits" while wearing leggings! Your advice never fails and it comes with a good dose of humor :)

Great tips. As a dog-owner living in a rain forest environment, though, nothing will ever convince me to give up my anorak - it’s an essential piece of outdoor gear. That said, it’s reserved for dog walks and casual trips to do chores; I always wear a trench coat on “proper” outings.

My Mother looked amazing at 96 yrs. even with Dementia because she always kept her excellent posture(and took care of herself). Marie-Anne along with your great attitude, we see you always carry yourself and move with dignity and youthful energy.

This was the wittiest video ever! I laughed from the beige sheep all the way to the end. My tips for dressing younger: Don't hang on to the style you embraced in your 20s (if you're now 50 or 60+). People tend to hang on to the era in which they were their happiest, and I get that, but ... don't). That frosted pink lipstick (which I loved) and those poofy bangs moved on, and so should we. Second tip - in addition to our skin tone changing over time, our silhouette changes as well - even for the fittest among us. Dress for your current shape. Wear updated glasses - both prescription and sunshades.

Bravo Marie-Anne. Thanks for calling out all the awful marketing for “old ladies”! Old ladies today are not the same as old ladies 30 years ago. We are fit, know how to look after ourselves and, speaking for myself, still enjoying life. Thank you!

Some people defend th anorak, I liked what you said and how you showed a stylish choice rather than a merely functional choice.

Love your tips… all spot on!

I agree with all these examples. I would add: tunic tops! I tried one once —ONCE—and I will never wear one again. They don’t hide our hips and tummies, they draw attention to them. For me, tunic tops are the ultimate “old lady” look. 😮

I’m in my 70’s… I don’t particularly care what others think I should wear! I wear what pleases me.
