Yes, I cleaned out my closet, but I have only bought 'classic and timeless' clothes - some of them are at least 20 years old - still wear them - it makes me Happy.
I'm not trying to make anyone else happy!

One aspect of clothing I try to keep in mind is how it looks when I'm sitting down. Tailoring is fine, but really fitted clothes can look great while I'm standing but make me look like 3 stacked tires when I sit down. That's why I lean more towards looser fitting clothes.

Have recently switched from Penningtons bras to Wacoal and the difference is amazing. I have lifted the girls back up to where they were when I was 35! I have always said that the plus size clothing business takes the best styles and make them from the worst fabric and the best fabrics in the worst styles. It is the bane of my existence!

I think the number one things that makes a difference to keeping an updated look are hair and eyebrows. I think a lot of florals can be very aging as well. Also being too matchy matchy. Gone are the days when your shoes, belt and bag should all match. It’s much more modern to have them complimentary to the outfit and each other than being an exact match.

I agree with you. Like your hair. And best style fashion is to remember to smile, not a psycho smile of course, but a friendly look is attractive. When we are trying to shop and make decisions we can look scowly...
I do not buy any polyester. It is in everything but it has so many drawbacks from the clothing not breathing and causing us to look over heated, to environmental issues.

Since my hair turned gray and is now becoming streaked with white, black or navy look good on me. When I wear black especially combined with red lipstick I always get compliments. By the way Cathy, you look amazing!

I was trying something and I showed it to my husband. He said "please dress your age." What does that mean! I've never been this age before. In all fairness, the garment wasn't for me, not because it was too young looking but because it didn't fit me well and wasn't in line with my classic style. Thanks Cathy! 🥰
