How to Fix Buttons not working on PS5 Controller (D Pad & Face Buttons)

Do you want to know how to Fix Buttons not working on PS5 Controller, maybe cleaning off the film on the controller will help the D-pad and the X O Triangle and the square will fix this. I just took apart the PS5 controller and cleaned the filmed and buttons with some rubbing alcohol and then the buttons too. Make sure the film is pressed against the back plate too so it's not sticking up and there is a good connection for the signal to travel to the board on the controller.

This helped me out a lot. Had a non-responsive d-pad button and this got me through the disassembly/reassembly process with zero headaches. There was a slight difference between my controller and this one, but they were very minor and didn't impede me at all. My controller is now working like new and this video saved me $70.

Agreeing with rest of here: My under 1 year old PS5 controller's d-pad stopped working properly, so out of curiosity tore it open with this guide, did some cleaning and now it is again working. I wish all user made content in YouTube would be as helpful as this one was. Thank you!

I don’t normally post on YouTube videos, but this is a legitimately helpful video. I went from zero signal on my right d-pad to working like new. The tear down is the most helpful part. Newer controllers have a slightly different anatomy, but the majority is applicable and really useful to get to the parts you need to clean without bricking your device. 10/10.

Holy shiet... I really didn't think this would help. I was told I would need to spend like 30 dollars to get my controller fixed in Korea. My triangle button wasn’t working. Opened it up, cleaned up everything with alcohol. Wasn’t any debris or dust. The sensors didn’t even look like they needed to be cleaned. But my triangle button now works.
