Maybe that's why Adobe is making so much money on subscriptions these days. In 2023, Adobe's subscription services earned them over 14 BILLION dollars in revenue (this is over 70% of total revenue) -- nearly double of what they were earning in 2019.

My college professors (Design major) always encouraged us to pirate Adobe. They gave us instructions to crack the programs, contacted us with cheap installators or directly installed themselves if we asked for.

This happened to me with what was supposed to be a month long free trial! Such a shameless and predatory mode of business. If you find yourself in the same situation, just contact their consumer services. If you pester them long enough they'll drop the fees and reimburse you the months you didn't plan using.

seeing how they are trying to put their hands on their software user's work to train generative AI, I would rather see them go bankrupt so that other softwares could rise. Though this might be wishful thinking - at least for now

Adobe is such a mess. There's better services for its entire suite that aren't predatory with their pricing.

Edit: Gimp & Krita for Photoshop, Natron for After Effects, Blender for Premier Pro, and Audacity & Garage Band for Audition.

Same thing happened to me, paid the cancellation fee. When I built a gaming pc last year all my Adobe products were pirated and now I don’t have to worry about Adobe screwing me over. Only reason why I didn’t pirate in the first place was because “it was the right thing to do”, but apparently these companies aren’t willing to do do the same for customers

I got in similar situation a while ago. Support tried to explain me this concept, i asked them "so, you ask me to pay 150$ dollars to stop using your product?". Support person wanished for an hour, then returned with "we canceled your subscription with no additional fee. Have a good day." - thats basically a running scam at adobe, you just need to ask support to cancel it with no fee

P.S there is a great free online Photoshop call photo pea, literally the only difference is the color
