There are plenty of benefits already available. A lot more than when I was a kid!

Nobody should get anything towards the cost of childcare, if you can't afford to have kids, don't have them!

All should stay home to raise their children.

No, No, for goodness sake, they should bring up their own children they wanted them, they should keep them, sick of hearing that the taxpayers are paying for everything, in my day, we had to arrange our own child care, we had to leave our job when pregnant, no money whilst on pregnant leave, expecting other working colleagues to take on their job, the mums made the choice of getting pregnant, there are many protections out there to stop pregnancies. Parents should take the responsibility for their own actions,

Don't they get children's tax credits?

A tax break/reduction for the working parent in a married couple seems like it would be the most sensible and possibly societally beneficial option.

If stay at home Mum's get any more benefits, why not support single females on taking holidays when the "single supplement" is added? Maybe single supplement allowances should be paid by the Government?🤣😅🤣

Yes, why don't we tax hard working people who made good life choices and live within their means even more?
I'm sick of these people who want other people's money because they are irresponsible and lazy.

I have worked 7 day weeks for years and invested my money wisely. And people like me are punished for our troubles. I want to throttle politicians who say hard workers have to give "their fair share".
Anyway, I don't care anymore. I will be selling my business next year and moving to Asia. It's been in the works for several years.

This country would be so much better if only net tax payers were allowed to vote. People who take from the system are actually allowed to vote. Just think about that for a moment. How do you think they will vote? Obviously they will vote for more of other people's money. What a messed up system.

if mothers stayed at home, we wouldn't need to subsidise their child costs as there would be half the labour force, rising wages for the fathers working.

Not if some ‘British’ women are having more than three children on average in certain ethnic communities. Which means no, absolutely not.

I can't afford a Bentley, so I don't have one, maybe the taxpayers could help me to get one and maintain it.

Yes at least they are the for their children.they get the right attention and are tought the right things before they go to school.if they have children they should be able to be at home until they start school at Age five..

I have worked in offices, where colleges get pregnant, their job is then divided between other office workers at no extra cost, the job held over just in case the pregnant one wants to come back, whilst receiving payments being at home, and a lot of grumbling from the ones who have to to do her job, this is unfair,

Maybe if the conservatives concentrated on reducing the tax burden on people and stop wasting money on virtue signalling policies etc the public would have more money to spend on child care let alone have the freedom for one parent to stay home and look after the kids if they so choose too. And who knows Maybe even encourage ppl to have children in the future

The birth rate is in decline so unless we are going to rely on immigration. Then more children need to be born. One parent at home raising a child makes sense for the state. Most will never pay enough tax to cover at work benefits. Plus children grow up better adjusted in my opinion. Not supporting them is an act of self harm by society. Children are tomorrows workers and are a good investment.

No better person to bring their baby up is mum. They shouldn't be pushed to get someone else to bring their baby up. It should be a choice. But better for children up to school age.

No way. Can't feed, don't breed!
Why should women get money for looking after their kids they chose to have, yet noone gets state help with kennel fees, vet costs etc for their pets - both are just as feral!

There used to be a universal payment for families, it was called child benefit. That has been taxed out of existence for working families. The benefit now goes to the families that dont work.

Who they going to TAX to pay for this ? i dare bet that tax burden be put right back on those working parents making it even harder to pay for child care
