How do you get a printer online?

If your printer is showing offline or your printer is greyed out then this video is for you.

This will work on Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, HP, IBM, Hitachi, Kodak, Konica, Lenovo, Lexmark, NEC, Olivetti, Panasonic, Rank Xerox, Ricoh, Samsung, DELL, Canon, Brother or any other printer

This will also work on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or any other operating system.

After literally 12 months of this problem, dozens of phone calls and chats with HP support, endless hours of troubleshooting, a new router/modem and STILL having this stupid printer offline issue, I am THRILLED to say that the steps in your video solved the problem!! I had to go all the way to the end (I didn't uninstall the printer though because my driver was up to date), and when I unchecked "SNMP Status Enabled" it was the game changer for me and now I can print! Additionally I changed the "Printer Name or IP Address" under configure port because it was off by one digit compared to the IP Address shown on the printer display. Thank you so much!

Thank You, I have listened to others teching me how to get my printer online, but it did not work. You taught  me to go into, "see what is printing" then click print offline. That was the magic trick for me.

OH MY GOODNESS! This was the answer! After watching SO many other videos with no success... YOURS was the answer! Click off the tab for "use printer offline." *Mine ended up being solved by doing this:*
**Printer Properties
**Ports
**Click option Port with IP address
**Click Configure Port
**Port Name is greyed out with your specific network IP address but underneath look for "Printer Name or IP Address"
**Printer itself has IP address and you type that into "Printer Name or IP Address" on your computer.
**In my case Port Name was one specific IP address while my Printer's IP Address was another set of numbers.
**Pressed OK and Boom! Worked.
