Plum Pie

Ingredients for the pie:
Butter (softened) – 12 tablespoons (175 g)
Sugar – ¾ cup (175 g)
Vanilla sugar – 1 tablespoon (10 g)
Salt – a pinch
Eggs – 3 large
Flour – 2¾ cups (350 g)
Baking powder – 2 teaspoons (10 g)
Milk – ¾ cup (175 ml)
Plums – about 2 lbs (1 kg)

Streusel (topping for the pie):
Flour – 2 cups (250 g)
Butter – 9 tablespoons (125 g)
Sugar – ⅔ cup (125 g)
Vanilla sugar – 1 tablespoon (10 g)
Ground cinnamon – 2 teaspoons
Salt – a pinch

Instructions:
Wash and halve the plums, removing the pits.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet (18x14 inches or 45x35 cm) with parchment paper.
For the pie dough, use a mixer to beat the softened butter with the sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and beat again.
Mix in the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Pour in the milk and continue mixing until smooth.
Spread the dough evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, smoothing it with a spatula. Place the halved plums on top, cut side up, closely together.
To make the streusel topping: 6. Combine flour, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Grate the cold butter into the flour mixture and use your hands to rub the butter into the flour, forming a crumbly texture. Add the cinnamon and mix. 7. Sprinkle the streusel over the plums.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes.
Once cooled, you can dust the pie with powdered sugar before serving.
