When you show the faces in the end of the short, there is some bias. The middle face is an average of the extremes and people tend to pick images in the middle. What the authors should've done was put the faces in random order to see if it was truly the most attractive. Many studies get this wrong.

I have an insane wide face. Some call it a moon face. Even with botox, it's naturally wide. My hair for the most part can hide it because I also have a narrow eye placement. But once I pull it behind my ears, I look jarring. It is annoying outside of aesthetics because I have to render my eye glasses to have the focal point be narrow while the frame itself needs to be wide

As an Eastern European man I would have preferred my jaw to be on the wider end like typical Germanic features rather than narrow and rounded off

I have a wide, round face with a larger jaw. I’ve been insecure my whole life, and people always take notice. But many of those people actually compliment me, and the rest of my features would look strange on a slimmer face. I look at before-and-after pictures of jaw shaving and almost always think the before looks better. Unless people are “deformed”, their natural face shapes usually suit the rest of their features the best.

I have bruxism so I have to go in for routine botox injections to my masseters to calm the muscles. It has also helped to slim my jaw a little bit.

I’m a mix between E & J 😂 I hate it, but I think my other features are also so extreme that I can kinda of sort of pull it off.. on a good day.
