This is actually the kind of information that some certain thai authorities should be responsible for creating, it’s what most first-time travelers to Bangkok need the most.

My daughter first time in Thailand, watched your vid yesterday and followed it exactly. Got her taxi and is on her way to her hotel. Thank you, you made it so easy for first timers.

VERY IMPORTANT -- this should have been covered on the ATM part! Do not accept the conversion offered by the ATM -- always decline the conversion. The ATM will sometimes ask you twice -- make sure you take your time and decline the conversion both times. Let your home bank handle the conversion. It should only cost you about $5 USD to withdraw cash not $25 -- plus maybe the same $5 by the local bank but nothing exhaustive.

Landed in Bangkok last week and used this video. If you have Tmobile, you don't need SIM card. For cash, just pay the fee and don't be cheap. Get that taxi to your hotel. GRAB is your life here. THEN go explore the BTS and surrounding areas. Just tips from someone who just did it first time.

Taxi side note. Don't let the driver take the ticket the machine gives you. This has the drivers taxi ID. Helps to prevent the switched off meter trick 🚕👍

This is the most informative travel video I've ever seen. My understanding of living in the future is, when a video like this will exist for every large city in the world.

Dude.. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you produced this video. this is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen because I was actually quite nervous about my first trip to Bangkok from Los Angeles . I knew that I would be lost in space when I got off that plane at the airport so this information is invaluable to me and probably to everybody else that's watching the video. Thank you thank you thank you! Much love from Hollywood California

As a Thai, I want to sincerely thank you for creating such a helpful video for first-time visitors to Bangkok. It's a great guide to help travelers find their way.

Our country is generally safe and very welcoming to tourists, though, like in any big city, there can be some scams or crime. However, these aren't common.

I hope you enjoy your trip and that you'll think of Thailand as a place to visit again and again ❤

This video shows how much effort you put in your channel to help new visitors in every little detail even about the scammer taxi misunderstanding. Chris thanks you for your love on our country. 🙏❤

We just got back to Toronto after three weeks of traveling around Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai) and just wanted to come back and say THANK YOU so much for all of your travel advice. We watched an endless amount of your videos to help prep and it was incredible to feel like we had a head start the second we got off the plane (especially thanks to THIS video!).

We had the trip of a lifetime, and cannot wait to be back (...or move eventually!). Will continue to watch your videos as a way to stay connected to the beautiful country we fell in love with. Highly recommend travelers watch your videos for a no-BS guide to navigating the country with ease.

Thanks again :)

I’m Thai. Let make it simple here - the International airport name is called “Su-Wan-Na-Poom”. That’s how locals pronounce. Please ignore those spelling, it makes people get confused 😅

Been following Chris for the last 3 years. Helped me come over to Thailand during the panicdemic with all the info on the phonebook of documentation required to come...followed the information and got in without issue. Now living the dream in Thailand, still enjoying the content especially 420....Thanks Chris! Looking forward to the next meet in BKK, I'll be there!!

I really appreciated this video. I find arriving in a new country and not knowing how to navigate the situation for those “first things” to be the most stressful part of any trip. This removes all those obstacles. Thanks for the great content.

You can pre-order a rabbit card with 200THB online... collect it on level 4 at the far end of row K... you won't be able to use it on the train for the first leg into Bangkok... which will cost 45THB... but can use when you change to a BTS line
