This is such a great video. My grandad started me on a "whip" rather then a rod and it's such a great, simple way to fish. Teaches watercraft and fishing without the stresses of tangles, knots and other distractions. Really good to see you championing there use again.

I remember my first whip. Little 2m thing i bought on a trip to norfolk broads. Was fishing over side of boat everytime we stopped. I probably had about 200lb of bits over the 3 days we were there. Was literally a fish every chuck.

I just started fishing. I did it as a way to spend time with my son. We’re both learning so it’s rad, I watch a shit ton of fishing on YouTube so I feel I’m learning a lot and putting the info to use when I’m out with my boy. He thinks I’m a pro which is kind of funny m, but he’s 8 so I’m not saying anything except that I’m always learning. Don’t want to break that “hero dad” stuff haha
