Surprisingly, Summer's not nearly as complicated as Spring, as such, we don't go week by week, just a summary of goals for each part of the game: Farming, Foraging, Fishing, The Mines, and then everything else!

Birthdays have been omitted since those will be in their own guide!
Sections:
0:00 - Intro
0:28 - Farming
2:05 - Foraging
2:53 - Fishing
4:37 - Mining and Combat
5:34 - Holidays and Events
7:26 - Outro

I don’t understand how people make so much money early on. I can barely get 30k a season

At ur own pace:

Farming: get blueberrie plants (best income), at least 1 melon, poppy, sunflower, tomato, blueberry, sunflower, hot pepper and corn (for bundle). Need at least 10 wheat and 5 gold quality melons and corn. plant apple tree and pomegranate if u don't have a fruit bat cave. (need 2 fruits of each).. get sprinklers and enough gold for enough upgrades as you can.. don't pluck fully grown poppy but put bees around and honey is worth more. upgrade axe to iron and tap at least 3 trees (maple, pine and oak)

Use steel axe to get into secret woods at top left (look for fiddlehead ferns.

Forage: 3 spice berries, 3 sweet peas, and grapes.

Fishing: Look for legendary fish of summer at east pier of the beach (need fishing level 5).. LAKE:, carp at any time, catch stungeon at 6-7am but keep 1 to put in fishpond since an item will be needed later OCEAN; 6am to 7am, tilapia 6am to 2pm, red snapper from 6am to 7pm only in rain, pufferfish 12-4pm, SECRET WOODS:skip, DESERT:sandfish 6am-8pm (need to complete vault bundle), LVL 20-60 of mines: Ghost fish
At floor 100, most profitable fish is lava eel

BY END OF SEASON: BIG COUPE AND BARN

MINING: get enough gold for good quality sprinklers for autofarms, only go on lucky days (gold pyramid sign on fortune teller if u complete 2500 gold vault bundle. Frozen tears (40-79), quartz (80-120), iron nodes on floor 40 and above, gold on 80 and above. get 10 bat wings and solar essence (from ghost), frozen geode (5.28)

KEEP EYE OUT FOR SALE in saloon

first playthrough and nowhere near this advanced by summer which I'm fine with, but even for new players it has some nice tips, like I haven't done my beehouses yet but will before summer and never thought to go ahead and plant the poppy and just put the beehouses around it so I don't have to wait for it to grow when I get them.

7:21 the big barn and big coop are 22k in total. Rare seeds are 1k a pop at the traveling cart, and the pomegranate and apple tree saplings are 10k in total. That being said, it may be better to pass on the satchel upgrade for summer. Also, there is a steep cost of wood and stone for the building upgrades. Need to build in time for lots of chopping in Spring and Summer.

I find this game 100x more fun if you aim to complete the community center year 2. Its a long playthrough, but i wasnt staring at the time constantly and stressing out about min/maxing profit

I don't recall coffee beans ever being mentioned from the Spring 1 video

As with the last one these guides are fantastic. I love that flowers don't have to be watered once they're fully grown for honey. I left my sunflowers completely untouched after they had grown and they never withered. I feel like honey is a really solid way to make good money without too much maintenance.

Love this guide! I'm just about to finish Spring on my first proper playthrough. Previously I've barely gotten a barn by winter and then given up. This time I wanted to follow everything to the book so I can progress to year 2 knowing that I've made good progress! Some people get overwhelmed by having a sort of checklist and goals to follow, but I really like it as it gives me a sense of what I can achieve!

I was looking forward to this! I was impressed by the spring one. And this one is just as well made!

I'm a veteran player but I always watch guides before every new playthrough to freshen up my memory and learn about any new updates that might have popped up.

One thing I would note for this guide is that the 70k total cost doesn't take into account the animals you need to buy to populate your barn and coop. Aim for 90k+ and even if you don't have sprinklers, planting 80 blueberries on Summer Day 1, it's a great way to make money off just selling fruit, and even more if you manage to craft a ton of preserves jars.

Good luck!

i preferred the weekly walkthrough of the first video. made it easier to set goals in mind and have easier explanations as to why i needed certain items.
also, do you have any general tips for new players? like things they should and absolutely shouldn't do in general? aside from joining Joja, cuz that's a given "don't do this" rule

Here's a little trick for everybody depending on your farmhouse but get a chair from Robin's and you can place it behind the log and then click on it and sit and then just hop it so you then you don't have to upgrade your axe as early on. Save you a little bit of funds

FUCKED UP first year bundle bc… Did not realize when he said unlocking the secret forest is important. But it is NECESSARY to complete the bundle for the community center in the first year. He mentions Fiddle Head Ferns, but not that it is needed for the chef bundle. If you do not get fiddle head ferns in the summer you can get them through the traveling merchant. Otherwise, you have to wait to unlock the desert, and then after level 7 you have a 2.2% chance of unlocking a prehistoric floor in the skull cavern to get another one. Good luck guys, the first year is hard.

Those min/max guides available are way to much for a new player. these offer such useful tips while not being stressfull. Which was the whole point i stopped playing games online like fps, mobas and sports games. They effected my mood in the real world negatively to much and i was worried all the guides availble would have the same effect on my gaming. Thank you for these. Subbed

What I realized is that I only need to push for unlocking pantry asap and greenhouse. Everything else can wait 😂

This is a bit overwhelming for a new player, I mean for the FIRST Summer? I started playing this game because people said it was a very chill Don't Starve Together. Although it's not nearly as hard as DST, I did not expect this much detail need on my first year in the game hahaha. Not a bad thing, I like that it is, just didn't expect it lol

It would be amazing if you could make some sort of checklist for every season, too! That is if you have the time to do so.
