For some reason people think this is why I didn't have much time in the last HC video. Guys this was filmed weeks ago. I didn't have time because I'm currently in Ghana for two weeks, you can see more if you follow me on Instagram!

“It looks like I’m taking notes, but I was actually just drawing a picture of my cats”
There’s nothing more Grian than that

Can we take a moment to appreciate that Grian was able to make a castle and finish the back of it?

Personally I would love to see Grian's take on rebuilding an ancient city.

This build also serves as a quick lesson on how to make _Minecraft_ castles that feel _authentic._ One thing you notice pretty quickly about Corfe Castle is that its walls follow the contours of the hilltop -- the defenses encircle the portion of the hill that's the shallowest gradient, leaving the steepest inclines leading to the base of the walls. It makes use of the natural terrain as much as possible.

I love how they recreated an apartment to make it look like it was Grians and he just pulls the curtain right back and is like, hey it's a studio. 😂
Like they really went for it too. Staged this whole scene, two double monitors and the whole shebang... And he's like nah bro it was all fake.

Jokes aside this is a really cool idea.

Oooh. I've been to Corfe Castle! They called it a "medieval skyscraper". Apparently the ruin is a bit atypical in that it was actually demolished, rather than just abandoned; the result of negotiations for repayment after a military defeat. The point where the castle was located was too strategic and was to never be used again.

Grian has ascended, from building floating rocks to recreating history.

I absolutely love the “Grian editing” drawing. It’s so cute, and includes things from the previous Hermitcraft seasons. The pesky bird mug and the Sahara laptop.

If anything this is really chobblesome. And I do think rebuilding an ancient city would be really nice and chobblesome.

Imagine if Grian's interpretation turned out to be the most accurate to what the real castle looked like

Imagine being such a good builder, that even Mojang recognizes your talents. Grian has a true skill for building.

Would love to see this as an entire series, really focused on the history/functionality of the buildings using historians for some context :)

Living only 20 minutes from the actual castle and having visited it millions of times, it looks so good and realistic! Well done grian!

Hey grain, I know this will probably go unnoticed, but you should check out the Castle of Sintra in Portugal, its probably one of the only castles in existence with so many contrasty colors, and some contrasting shapes that somehow all work together. Not saying to build it, but it could be of some inspiration for a future build!

I love how they recreated the actual landscape around Corfe as well as the modern day roads and the Swanage heritage steam railway and then asked him to re build the castle to it’s civil war days

Would love to see more of this sort of thing - recreating historic builds in Minecraft with a little bit of vlog thrown in. I think this was one of your best videos :)

I love that Grian can capture the realism of the old ruins, add a bit of artistic intent, and make it look like a real structure.
