How did you bypass the ac’s thermostat? Placing the temp probe next to the ac probe won’t be enough correct??

Please show us how to wire up the compressor and what you did with the original thermometer. Did you just cut the thermometer wire off first so both are not being used at the same time? You can make an aircon colder by dipping temp sensor in hot water!

I like the video and will be trying this myself. If there were anything I'd do differently, it would be to combine both cables at the air conditioning unit so as to have only the GFI cable attached, and I would never trust a power strip to run an air conditioner. Too high of a risk of electrical fire.

Why do they put the temperature probe on the front coils where it is coldest? Doesn't it need to be remotely oriented?

I actually have the same ac can you link a schematic of how to wire it up ? Should be no liability issue I took networking and computer tech for 4 years so I know how to wire stuff correctly but i do not want to go ripping into my ac without actually seeing it done first or getting a diagram

Can't you accomplish the same thing by plugging the unaltered A/C plug into the Temperature Controller gadget? Why does the compressor need to be separated from the fan of the unit?
