Giving Birth to My 5th Child (Unedited Raw Footage)

When I was pregnant with my first baby I had no idea what to expect when giving birth. I wish I had someone to walk me through how long labor could potentially be, the interventions that are used, and what my options were. So l decided to document and share my entire birthing experience from start to finish. I begin recording as my first serious contractions took place.

Since I have been induced for most of my births I didn’t know what contractions would feel like when occuring naturally. I was worried I wouldnt be able to tell the difference between Braxton Hicks and real labor contractions.

I had been experiencing Braxton Hicks for several weeks at this point, but on this day the contractions were different. They were stronger and I could feel my whole uterus contracting, rather than just a localized area. They became stronger and I began breathing heavier. That's when I knew the contractions needed to be timed.

They say you know it's time to leave for the hospital when your contractions are happening at least every 5 minutes, last for one minute each, and have been happening consistently for 1 hour. It's called the 5-1-1 rule.

I birth big babies, I am talking over 10 lbs, and never once was a c-section mentioned to me just because of their size. I have had an epidural for all my births so for baby number 5 I really wanted to try to have an unmediated birth.

Unfortunately I didn't make it. I was close, but I knew I would lack the strength to push if I continued to suffer and fight the pain.

I have actually enjoyed my epidural births! They allowed me to relax and be more present for the experience. Being able to relax is key too. Each time I tried to birth unmedicated labor wouldn't progress.

Please note, this is just my personal experience. Everyone is going to have a different birth story 🤗❤️

As soon as a woman says, “I can’t do this!” Or “They’re never coming out!”
I know she’s about to push the baby out for real 💙

I felt a deep emotion when she let out that primal scream. She’s a true savage, all of us women are! ❤

"He's never gonna come out"
"You've only been pushing a minute or two" made me laugh because I remember that feeling so vividly 😂 congratulations!

Update: I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl on 8/9. I'm so beyond blessed♡

In regards to me doing laundry, It’s called nesting 🥰 Its a very common phenomenon for some women in active labor. It’s a welcomed distraction and makes us feel more in control during a time that is uncontrollable. Also, my husband was with our crying 1yr old & didn’t even know I was doing laundry. With 7 people in the house, it doesn’t matter how on top of the laundry we are, there will always be a pile. 😉

In regards to why my husband didn’t drop me off at the front. My husband tried several times to drop me off close but I refused. I didn’t want to be separated from him even for a second ❤ This is our 5th go around so he knows, my labor, my rules. 😘

I just gave birth to our sixth at home a week ago. A planned home birth. But.. My baby decided to come really fast while the midwife was on her way.. I had no idea I was in true labor. 15 mins after asking my midwife to come over my husband delivered our baby. It was so unexpected but such a miracle memory ill never forget. 11lb little man!

Thank you for keeping the screaming part ! I saw so many videos where the birthing mom was so quiet and calm and I just was not like that, so thank you I feel less alone now

Thank you for showing this. I have a phobia of getting pregnant thanks to my mom telling me all my life that it was the worst experience of her life. Now I'm in my late 20's with my boyfriend deciding if we want to have kids so my therapist recommended watching videos and learning more about it. I'm still terrified, but I feel like I'm getting better, I hope I can get to a point were I can be as strong as you

I am tearing up at the end. I have no woman in my life who talks about labor like this or at all. They all want me to have babies but I feel so in the dark. Other birth videos have made me sick with fear. Hearing you say “I’m your big sister” it…idk…thank you so much

Congrats mama!!
It’s an experience like no other and you did amazing!!!
I kept saying “I can’t do this I can’t do this” over and over again but after 30 minutes of pushing I finally got to meet my baby girl. Seriously the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life. I remember vividly thinking “I’ve come this far (20 hours of labor) and now that I have to actually push I won’t be able to do it”
I was passing out in between contractions and pushes. I had had no sleep for 36 hours at that point. If it weren’t for my amazing nurses and midwives I don’t know how I would have done it. They were truly the only thing that helped me believe in myself and my body when I felt I had nothing left to give!

I thought I could handle this. She screamed and I screamed lol. I have 3 kids but I was so blessed to not need epidurals. I can't imagine. I now know how blessed my deliveries were. God bless your family.

Oh, how this sent me back in time to 13 months ago while pushing out my youngest. Took forever (48 hours) to get things going, but once that water broke he was there within the hour and with less than 15 minutes of pushing, plus no tearing. Considering I had Covid pneumonia and had to wear two types of masks to get enough oxygen to push, I was very grateful. Best wishes to you and the fam and a speedy recovery ❤️❤️❤️ he is absolutely adorable.

Gave birth to baby #3 recently and pushing scared me too! I was surprised by that because I didn’t experience that with baby #2. Every birth is different! Fabulous job mama 🙌🏼

Just found out I’m pregnant with my second. L&D with my first was truly awful. I had a terrible OB, and so as excited as I am for a second baby, I’m terrified of labour. This video seriously made me cry, especially what you said at the end. ❤ thank you
