Being born at 23 weeks and to leave the hospital without a tracheostomy and ventilator shows how resilient this baby was. ❤

I’m currently 20 weeks I couldn’t imagine delivering my baby in just a couple of weeks. So scary. Modern medicine is truly amazing.

My eldest son was tiny. He was the size of my husband’s hand. He’s now 6’2” and built like a refrigerator. The doctor back then told me that he may always be behind other kids...he wasn’t. They are little fighters, and that fighting spirit, they carry it with them their entire lives. Premmie baby’s are special.

God I remembered how my niece was a stillborn that miraculously got revived after 1 hour. She was as big as my brother's hand and her literal blanket was a kid's handkerchief. The diaper enveloped her whole body and I cannot BELIEVE she is now as tall as me at 14 (160cm)

"They told us she only had an hour to live"

Also them: "We all knew she was going to make it from the start"

I was born prematurely, I weighed 1 pound and was the size of a pop can, I'm 17 now, I'm sooo thankful for the doctors and nurses who took care of me.

An 8 oz baby? God was with her. She is proof that all lives are precious and important! She surely is.

Brought tears to my eyes, I'm currently 32 weeks along and feel my little one kicking away and feel so grateful that she's safely in my belly able to continue to grow and develop. But I'm also brought to tears over these stories of babies being born so early and not only surviving but thriving! The miracle of modern medicine and the hard work and dedication of doctors and nurses to save these babies is amazing! <3

Whenever I loose faith in humanity, I stumble across something like this.

The way the nurse held the baby like she was her own, and they way she talks about the first time mom and dad holds there need more people like that in every hospital, doctors office, any field of work!

My waters broke at 23 weeks. Doctors offered me a termination. I declined.
My son was eventually born at 29 weeks when my waters unexpectedly broke. He was delivered naturally within 15 hours of contractions starting, (though they did prep me for a c-section)
My son will be 12 next month and he's doing extremely well.

Bless their family, I'm so glad she made it. Little miracle babbie!

When she was talking about the parents getting to hold her for the first time: I cried a bit. Reminds me of when I finally was allowed to hold my premature twin daughters after waiting almost 10 hours. That feeling happened to me seeing and holding them. Everything was perfect in that moment. I’ll never forget it
