I bought my first DSLR in 2020 NIKON D700 which is a 2008 camera and used it up till last month and now I've upgraded to Sony

Short answer in most cases is probably not. Put the savings into better glass which will serve you better than that newest body will

Im using A7RII used to have A7III
Now Im planning for A7RIII and A7IV then probably stop there I just need the newer features and tech especially the autofocus capabilities

And yes I do invest on lenses I wont settle for less
