From 1976 to 1979 I trained with the Marines because I am a Marine. Kudos to you for taking on the challenge. Remember, the burn of your muscles means you'll shed less blood.

Remember this is just a small part of it, to even show up at MSG school you first have to complete Marine Corps basic training, the School of Infantry and prove yourself in the Fleet Marine Force first to even quality and all of those are much more difficult than the actual MSG training.

Reminds me of that one time I put my girlfriend in an army PT uniform and had her join me during a battalion run just to see if we could get away with it 😂😂😂

It takes a lot more than 3 days training.
First is boot camp, obviously. Then usually SOI. Then you have to be tested and selected. The school is a lot longer than 3 days as well.

I know a retired United States Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant who mentioned being in Quantico, Virginia. Interesting fact is that he trained J Edgar Hoover's finest there. The Marine Corps base and the FBI academy are joint tenants.

It would be great if this were a thing. Like a test run before you commit. But then again, that committal to/thru the unknown is probably intentional, to build decisiveness, toughness, and endurance when you didn't know what was coming. But a test run would still be a good experience, especially for someone like me who could probably join if it weren't for asthma. Been working on the asthma by jogging and I've improved, but still every time I run I think "this is why I wouldn't survive basic" 😅
