If i remember correctly,

Ruyi Jingu Bang is a gigantic pillar under the sea that holds up the destructive torrents of the sea to prevent the dragon palace from getting destroyed since its underwater snd Sun Wukong tried to get the pillar and the Dragon Emperor said that hes free to take it from its post if he can and Wukong actually did and turned it into his very own weapon

This game is definitely going for a ‘I am the danger’ kinda vibe for our protagonist. Hes not a measly maidenless/undead/hunter or something to that effect, and that dragon is locked in here with HIM
