Dark souls 3, as the thrilling conclusion to the souls series, has more of an emotional pull than anything. Exceptional gameplay, magnificent boss encounters, and enthralling scores. And although it may be cliche, Gael remains the most thrilling experience that soulsborne has to offer. Don’t get me wrong elden ring is nutty and may be the ultimate game but the nuanced details in dark souls 3 brings Miyazaki’s work to completion.

I'd say it's a tie, as far as combat on ds3 it definitely depends on your build. And I find elden ring way EASIER because it open world and you can pick to fight the easy bosses first and skip half the bosses. Where dark souls 3 is linear and makes you forced to fight hard bosses at low early levels. But both are great

They’re two different for me to say one is better. I would say DS3 is perfect for what it is trying to be. Elden Ring is slightly imperfect but with much loftier goals.

In my opinion Dark souls 3 is the best game FromSoftware ever created. Myazaki is trying to create a masterpiece but he already created it.
Playing games for 30+ years and DS3 for me is the best game ever.

For PVE i prefer DS3, it feels much smoother, the ambiance is focused on sounds rather than music, and the bosses are actually fun

I was actually dissapointed with the level design in er, still a fantastic game but outside of like stormveil castle, i just couldn't be bothered to actually clear all the levels and explore everything. In other souls games including ds3 one of my favorite things to do was summon bros and just explore places clearing all enemies in areas like the boreal valley, ringed city, the swamp, dungeon, friedes area, etc. In elden ring i just couldn't be bothered. Like look at faram azula, beautiful place but all exploring that level is gonna get you is a 6 copy paste dragons with a fuck ton of hp, one shot ganks, and a side area with like 15 of those curse monsters. Like i really did try to enjoy faram azula as a level but i just couldn't.
