The determination when she stood over Godzilla to face Ghidorah makes me tear up every time knowing she cannot defeat him but will give her life for Godzilla nonetheless 😭💔

Just hearing Godzilla's roar after her death, it literally sounds like he cried "Mothra!" Making this scene just as heartbreaking. But she did it to save him which is the heart of a Queen.

This scene makes me emotional each time I see it, Mothra's love for Godzilla is obvious and the way he calls out her name as her essence falls into him makes the scene even more heartbreaking to watch. His heart was broken having to lay there and watch her sacrifice herself for him. A Queen's love for her King knows no bounds and never ends. King Godzilla and Queen Mothra, they r a beautiful couple....forever may they reign.

I'm glad to tell you that Mortha is basically immortal. You see, before battle, she lays an egg that, if she dies, the egg will become another her, with all of the memories and experiences.
This isn't the first time Mortha has sacrificed her life for the greater good and it most certainly won't be the last.
There's a reason why she's call the Queen of Monsters.

The first time I realized that Godzilla says "Mothra" hit me right in my heartgut.

I think it would be awesome and hilarious if Mothra is in the next Godzilla & Kong movie. Like Godzilla picks up on her soaring in and grins at Kong like, "Watch this." And Kong is confused, only to be stunned as she beats the enemy ape. Wishful thinking.

I can’t help but feel she knew she would die, because when ghidorah fired, she tried stoping mid air, almost like she wanted her power to make sure it went into Godzilla to give him a chance. Course that just how I see it but I could be wrong.
