Godzilla: King of the Monsters 2019 - Burning Godzilla

When it seems like King Ghidorah is gonna kill everyone in the Argo Jet, Dr. Emma Russell Sacrifice herself to send King Ghidorah towards her using the orca so the others can leave safely. While the others leave, they watch as Dr. Emma Russell goes in a car with orca which brings King Ghidorah and then he blasts Emma Russell with his Gravity Beams. When it seems like King Ghidorah is about to eat her, he hears something, Godzilla comes back up now stronger than ever after absorbing all of Mothra's Energy which turn him into Burning Godzilla! Burning Godzilla and King Ghidorah then fight one more battle to see now who gonna takes the crown of the king.

1:28 Poor Madison. After having to watch her brother die, she now has to watch her mother perform a heroic sacrifice to save the world. It shows how despite everything Emma did, Madison still truly loved her and didn’t want to watch her mother die.

Damn, Madison just can't get a break. She loses her brother at the age of 7, and five years later she loses her mother. Leaving her with only her dad. then again, nothing beats a mother's love and sacrifice.

I really love this scene. A mother who saw what she caused, regretting everything once it started to fall apart, she wanted to still help the planet and her family by sacrificing herself to save not only her family who might’ve not gotten away in time, but Godzilla also. She lived as a villain but died a hero

This movie had a really bittersweet ending. Godzilla managed to regain his position as the alpha Titan, Ghidorah was defeated, the earth’s atmosphere was now being restored, and Mark reunites with his daughter. Unfortunately, the battle didn’t come without casualties as lots of people were killed, Emma Russell lost her own life trying to distract Ghidorah, and Alan Jonah and his men are still at large and yet to face any punishment.

Rewatching this scene really brings tears to my eyes. You can clearly tell how much regret and grief Emma felt upon realizing what she unleashed. It’s clear that she began blaming herself for causing all this and knows that she can’t atone for the lives lost. However, she knows that it’s not too late to redeem herself as she tries to fix her mistake by sacrificing herself to distract Ghidorah long enough. Emma is aware that bringing the Orca with them would put her husband and daughter at risk and chose to put their safety over hers. Even if she died, she went out with a smile knowing that she redeemed herself. Even with what she did, her family loved her because she was still family to them.
