This totally tricks you into writing a song by accident, this worked well, and moves me beyond my aimless pondering themeless usual song ideas and creates a solid outcome, that gives the words a sense of truthful power as there directional and more declaring your sense of truth rather than just saying random things without meaning, and when it has this outcome, i can immediately start to see ideas and then i just write about them in many ways without thinking I'm writing a song, great stuff!

- this actually gave me 3 songs in my pursuit of finding the way to the outcome as i was open to try all sorts of ways to get there, which gave me a sense of direction to the theme, but in trying to flesh it out, i made two other ideas i can work on later, or to add into this song somehow, but this is more me as it's more of an exploration & fun

This was fantastically helpful for me! I often struggle with writing a verse or a chorus (often not being sure which) and then struggling with where to go next. I’m going to start using this as good practice.

Hi Chad, I did watch Tony’s video awhile back on this methodology (YouTube channel: Songwriters Chop Shop). It was extremely good. However in this video you took it further and explained the process on a much deeper level. Doing so helped answer many questions. I am utilizing this process for the December 2nd, 2023 'Toplining Songwriting Challenge'.

In regards to step 5 at 34:11 you said, “… what I would suggest is maybe write 5 or 10 songs using this process that we’re talking about so it becomes part of your toolbox. Obviously you don’t always have to use it all the time….”.

Can you please (briefly) point the way to other alternative songwriting processes that exist? Just looking for the proper Nomenclatures/Key words that will allow me to research these alternative song writing processes in greater detail later. Perhaps you already made a video on this topic? During this video, I did hear you briefly mention ‘objective writing’ as perhaps another alternative process. Once again, fantastic lesson! Thanks Chad!
