How To Give A Salon Perfect Pedicure - Step by Step Guide - DIY

In this 'How To' demonstration video you'll be taken through the various steps needed to give that basic salon perfect pedicure. Presented by Katie Miles the owner of All Eyes On You, a modern unisex beauty salon in Stockport. Katie also lectures in Beauty Therapy at Stockport College and has many years experience in both teaching and giving a wide range of salon procedures.

The video was filmed at the All Eyes On You salon by Vivid Photo Visual, a Manchester based video production company who have worked with Katie and her team on a range of video and photographic projects.

I was trained in pedicure back when clients demanded real professionalism. What I like best about this video is the massage techniques that Katie uses. They are wonderful, sophisticated movements that absolutely anyone would love having performed on them. One teeny thing she did not mention is to keep at least one hand on the client at all times during massage, as moving it off or on is disruptive to the sense of peace that is felt while having massage. Katie did this, but did not mention it, and I find it important. Lovely pedicure, Katie, I would love to have you do mine!!!

Katie is great she taught me as a mature student and I now work in London in a Top Hotel Spa The Carlton Tower and even now I have watched this and will use her routine in my repertoire

Easy steps, she followed protocol procedures from the Milady book and it was lovely to enjoy. Although people recommend her dialing the feet first it’s not always the case. Different salons have their own ways but it is recommended to put them inside the basin before pushing back the cuticles so they soften.

Hi i know this video is old but i just came across it and i only want to give you a few tips..
1. Wear gloves!
2. Cut and file nails BEFORE wetting feet to avoid flexible nails to chip.
3. After cutting then leave in water for a bit THEN remove cuticle so it’ softens and can be easily removed efficiently.
I like filing heels while it is wet but that’s only a personal preference of mine..
