I started parkour at 32 because of your videos. Always been a fan but I didn't know it was possible for me to actually learn it at my tender age 😂

I used to practice parkour almost ten years ago. It was a lot of fun and I have been missing it. I’m here for a refresher course lol plus I just found out my three year old niece loves Spider-Man and I want to surprise her for her birthday next year.

You inspired me so much I got a job at a local parkour/ninja gym and I did my first class last night! I'm so proud of myself ❤. Thank you so much. I'm also still watching your videos and learning from them. You're amazing and your service is deeply appreciated.

I have EDS and was never able to be successful at physicality growing up. I've spent many years strengthening my muscles and now I am strong enough to do some stuff successfully! I'm 34 and overcoming disability with parkour. You're more inspiring than you know ❤

You are a gift to humanity, man.
You are doing such an amazing job for the PK community. I think many of us would've been so grateful for a video like this when we started.

Thanks for everything, Jason!
(Also, it's really cool seeing you posting content again)

Greetings from Chile!

Lot of things to say about this video. As a coach I'm so happy to see good content from experienced practitioners that can actually think at and for beginners level.
I consider very important to coach to beginners qpm, landings, climbing, descending, rolling, balance, and vaulting in this particular order (with different levels of each category intertwined throughout sessions - good qpm session will turn into usable strength and prep for roll, vault and landing, a thorough landing and climbing will help for vaulting and connections for roll etc). As you said, many roads lead to many Romes, and there are different styles of coaching and learning your own path (which I found beautiful in parkour in the first place).
The jump in, which some call Arm-leap, as a part of the arm jump or classical cat leap, is something that I coach before diving into cat leap. But I have to admit that this seems to be like accessory techs that some simply find it inherently integrated as a part of a move or variations and, to me at least, it seems like they think it's going to get to a student anyway. Myself included here, because I never thought about the pencil roll, barely recommended it but still used it as progression the hip roll - due to the risk of them using it to disperse a big impact and injuring hips, wrists and coccyx.
Bottom line it comes down to how you see the path, and as a coach, on how you choose to guide the student to finding his path. As long as the basics are covered and the body is physically prepared, from this point it's literally exploration.
Great content ❤ and I hope it reaches more soon to be parkour beginners. I'm definetely sharing this with my students so they'll see there are other ways and styles.

I always wanted to learn parkour, just because of the feel of the flow and the mobility. This really helped on how to start!

It's crazy that this is in our blood. Seriously, leave a little boy alone, and he will come up with some parkour moves, as long as his kid body allows. Love the content! Really pulls one into parkour.

Watched this when it came out, inspired me to start trying parkour. I started training consistently. A week ago I landed my first double backflip on a trampoline, I can consistently hit gap sideflips and backflips and some j steps. Its been so much fun going out with my freinds and challenging eachother into little challenges. Vids on my channel, but thank you so much for helping me out

17:20 climbing is awesome. I am not only a park purist but a climber as well. It helps lots with upper body strength and power used for dino’s and stuff. Plus it’s a fun thing to invite some friends too

Hi Jason, I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this video, and lots of other videos. I am 13 years old and really unfit. These have inspired me to finally push myself when it comes to parkour instead of procrastinating. I have always tried of parkour but failed. I believe that this is my opportunity. Thank you man. :)
