The problem is NOT the product, but the buyer (you). You rushed into getting your hands on this device so you could review it before other YouTubers got to it. You didn't think hard enough about your purchase. Also, you're expecting too much from an 8GB base model. Now you're spreading your skewed views on the M2 Air and confusing consumers who would otherwise love this machine. Stop blaming and take responsibility.

Your videos are all over the place. Buy this one. No, buy this one! This is the one to get! No, I’m returning it. Instead of buying and returning, why don’t YOU watch other videos and make an informed decision. People are waiting weeks for their orders and you’ve now contributed to the supply chain issue at the end of the process, and though your unit will be resold on refurb, it’ll take months for that to show up since Apple doesn’t release refurb in the first several months of a new product launch. Making content and money off of products you buy and then return is similar to calling up a restaurant and saying you didn’t like the food after you’ve eaten it expecting a refund.

Use my M2 for some video editing and otherwise basic office type work. Works better than anything else I've ever used. Gripping that it's not pretty enough for you or it doesn't do your pro-level work for you is just cry-baby level. You picked the wrong laptop. Just get the pro and stop whining!

I got mine recently, it’s super thin and easy to carry. The battery last forever, performance wise it’s so fast. I don’t transfer files often, so I don’t see any difference between other options . I am not returning mine 😜

These reviews are getting so ridiculous, I have an M2 Air that I have been using for a week and its an incredible performer. I run an entire business from it and doing countless things with it and it handles it lightning quick. Any person who edits or does these higher performing tasks will automatically know they should probably get a Pro to begin with. But again, for 90+% percent of users the air is perfect. Proves again that Apple actually knows EXACTLY what it's doing. Remember the M1/M2 air's are punching above their weight not below. Very powerful for what they are.

I have a space grey M2 Air with 512gb and 8 gb of ram. runs like a champ, fast, quiet, not hot at all, handles everything I throw at it. And...no chips! LOL. Arthur, you're a winer!

I thank, The reason he return is he already satisfied made YouTube clips of it.

Firstly, Laptop computer are not meant to change every 2 years for average people.

The person who had Mac air M1 had no reason to buy New Mac Air M2 except the new body. So they should not expect the double faster of the M2 over M1. It faster enough for who using intel Mac air or even intel Mac Pro.

And people should know that they also sell MAC Pro, so why they had to made Mac air as fast as Mac Pro?
I dont like too that 256 SSD had an issue on slow file transfer and they don’t informed customer but OK I understand and choose another storage.

I think they provide a chance for people who have limited budget. they can remove 256 and start with 512 with higher starting price like Mac Pro 14 but they are not.

And it is very non sense that people always complaining that Mac air can not do the task that Mac Pro should do.

Is what I’m hearing from this video:

1. The color issue is really frivolous even if it does scratch easy. But, that is a personal choice. I get that.

2. The bottom line sounds like you intentionally got an under specced machine to fault it. It really sounds like you wanted to use the Air for unintended purposes. I could be way off but that is what I’m reading into it.

3. I have the new MBA and I love it BUT I’m using it as intended too. It makes a big difference.

On my side, this new Macbook air m2 is the best computer I had in my whole life. Yes I dont do video editing, but i do intense web programming with Docker instances running and all the rest. I have to say it works fucking perfectly for my use!

Seriously everyone is bashing the M2 because it can’t handle all the super heavy loads of work that people are doing. They have the pro versions for a reason. But the M2 air is still very power and I believe that it’s very well balanced. It deserves more praise than what people are giving because it really isn’t a bad laptop at all. I bought the base version and in all honesty it’s a beautiful laptop and it does a good job at handling some of the video and photo editing that I do. Don’t buy the M2 air if you do video editing and all that heavy duty work for 10 hours a day. Just get the pro versions and stop complaining.

I watch these videos and i feel like i still have the same questions, how does it work for average users that have lets say Microsoft Excel open, Spotify, a third app, and Chrome with 6 tabs open half the day all at a time. Also stores many epubs/ebooks, video and picture files (not edited by me just saved). Or are there any youtubers that test out the macs like this?? All i see are info about editing softwares. Everyone complains about the storage and while it does seem small, I wonder if it’s enough for a user like me, or should I upgrade storage, but then I also have a budget. I’m honestly a bit lost on how much is enough since last time i bought a mac was 2010 :/

this video was literally made just to hate on this laptop because you didn't like it. I understand your reasoning, and yes, the slower SSD speeds on the 256GB model aren't ideal. But think about this. Who is the 256GB model for? People that use the laptop for extremely light using, not power users. The slower speeds will be negligible! Now of course, some people may reply to this saying that if they don't need the additional performance that M2 has over M1, they should just get M1, but consider this. People are choosing M2 over M1 not just because of the better performance. It is because of the new design! Sure a light user won't need the performance of M2 over M1, but they might want MagSafe, fast charging, and a 13.6" display instead of 13.3". They may even just choose it because of the new colour options!
