You better stop using clickbait titles

You will never experience the 14 throttling unless you run stress tests/benchmarks hours at a time. I use the 14 inch M2 Max for 4K video editing and it is a joy!

The problem is, when the M3 comes out, surely people would just say “just maybe wait another year and a half for the M4”. It’s the same with all tech. You buy something now, something better comes along in 8 months.

Got my M2 Max MacBook Pro 16” with 64GB Ram and 4TB SSD. It’s amazing and extremely fast. I couldn’t be happier since im upgrade from my 2009 MacBook Pro 13”.

Coming from an Intel MacBook pro 15" I bought the M2 MBP 16" with 1tb ssd and 32gig ram and I don't expect to upgrade again until about the M10.

I just bought the 16" 32SSD M2 Max 1TB machine and I am upgrading from a 15" 2015 model lol. I think I'm going to see a big difference.

If you have an M1, skip the M2. That is just a given. Absolutely wait for the M3 or M4. I mean, seriously, how many people buy a new laptop every year? Anyone with an intel Mac...the M2 provides a lot of speed improvement (assuming you do not run Windows). Get a 16" M2 or a Refurb M1. And that is where this video is helpful...understanding if your money is better spent on a new M2 or Refurb M1. For me, replacing my 2017 i7 MBP 15", I think I will go M1 Max. Put my money into a higher end previous model instead of a lower end current model.

I love your videos but PLEASE stop with those clickbait titles... You don´t have to do that and it just hurts your credibility

I just received my 14" M2 Max with 64GB yesterday and its almost as powerful as my i9-10850k hack pro but with the stability. I could have got the M2 Pro variant and have the same CPU performance as has been pointed out, but the extra 200GB/s memory bandwidth is wonderful for my use case. I'll be keeping mine for sure

I wish you talked about the editing experience between the models? I don't care about export times as much as the ability to scrub a final cut timeline of 500gb 4k project with footage stacked on itself and 10 chrome tabs open in the background.

I just purchased the MBP M2 16-inch with the top CPU/GPU, 64GB RAM, and 4TB SSD. Sure, it’s perhaps overkill on RAM, but that opens up fun poweruser/multitasking abilities, and that 4TB SSD will definitely not go to waste. Depending on this weird economy I may not upgrade as much as I’ve have done in the past, so I felt that at least for now, as my only machine, those upgrades were worth it. For creating and running a video podcast, digital artwork, and animation, general power usage, possibly windows paralleles, and for game emulation, I can’t think of a better mobile workstation and or laptop specs to own. Even better, Apple Payments on the Apple Card made affording it much easier. My plans for a windows workstation and or gaming tower build will just have to wait.

Wouldnt the base M2 Max be the unicorn perfect sweet spot between a high clock speed and enough hoy to handle hoy based tasks? I would love a comparison between the top M2 chip and the Base M2 max

Debating over 14" M2pro or Max. Maonly going to be doing music production, video/photo editing with Adobe. Is a Max necessary? or should I not bother?

I took the plunge and went for a 32gb 14" MBP in the end, no other changes from base. Thanks for the detailed reviews over the last month!

I’ve just bought a 38 core gpu M2 Max as an upgrade from a late 2013 MacBook Pro. Why would I want to hand it back?

markblow

Can you please tell us about the 30 core gpu with regard to thermal throttling vs the pro? Especially on the 14 inch, this is what a lot of us are curious about.

I have just ordered 16” MBP 38 core 64GB.

Should arrive next week in Australia. Can’t wait!

At any rate it will be an upgrade from my 2011 iMac which finally died last year.

Looking forward to doing some fast interior design renderings on this baby!!

(Not gonna lie, the $$$ hurt though!).
