Saw in a gaming magazine (think it was Game Informer) that Star Wars Galaxies was disconnected. The article really drove the point home that there was no "picking up and playing again" for old times sake.

Glad to see that at least the devoted users can still play their old game regardless.

Wish I had my computer already. This is fantastic! When it's finally built I will be certain to try this out. SWG has actually been randomly popping into my head the last few months, I've really missed that game.

I'm a young but passionate Star Wars fan and gamer, and this game looks like my dream Star Wars game. I just built my computer, I don't want to pirate the game and mess my computer up. Unfortunately my parents don't like be buying games often, I have the money, but its hard to get them to budge. Hopefully I'll be able to get this game soon, because the wait is killing me.

My mum bought me this game like 3 years ago from a second hand store for like 20 pence! After I installed it it asked for a redemption code or something, which I was annoyed about, as it didn't come with one in the box, so I never played it.

3 years later I've just realised what game it is, and I wish I played it! I'm re installing it as we speak, hope it works!

This will work with swgemu.

for you guys having trouble:

1 Install the game.
2. copy content from install folder to c:swg
3. copy patches from torrent folder to c:swg as well
4. download launchpad enhanced (google it)
5. when asked where you have your original swg installation, point it at c:swg
6. chose to install swgemu in c:swgemu. 
7. EXIT launchpad enhanced as soon as you see it start downloading.
8. Copy the .TRE files from c:swg to c:swgemu
9. restart launchpad enhanced. (since you copied the TRE files from swg to swgemu, launchpad wont have to download so many files.
10. PLAY THE FKIN GAME.
