Hyperosmia. Hyperosmia is an increased olfactory acuity (heightened sense of smell), usually caused by a lower threshold for odor. This perceptual disorder arises when there is an abnormally increased signal at any point between the olfactory receptors and the olfactory cortex.

Apparently this can happen if your autonomic nervous system isn't working properly due to a B vitamin deficiency, particularly B1.

I have this it sucks can even smell what my neighbours are eating some days are worse than others. Usually run the fan towards the door or Bye bye appetite. I've to be careful nothing I buy has a strong smell. I've migraines but I've a nose like a bloodhound. I'd know if I'd covid anyway.
