Easy Freestanding Shelves

This week my friend Jen is visiting the channel. She's going to share how she built a whole wall shelving system to include laundry, recycle, a rolling bench and chest freezer built-in!

Very nice! Looks very similar to what I built for our basement and for our two car garage. Hubby was never taught, nor had the desire to ever do anything like that. I watched my father build a barn and various projects. I figured if men could do it, I could do too. 🥰. I have built bookcases, hutches, tables. I am in my late 60’s now and have lost my passion for building things.

I’ve used this plan in the past for my garage. Love it. I like how you accommodate your plan as you went through construction. Especially liked the built in touch for the freezer. Oh and seeing “Superman” was a bonus. 🤪

Looks terrific! One thought about the water heater. If it has to be replaced at some point, a new one may not be the same size.

I need my SIL to see this video! We have a pump house/play house, a dog house (he shed) and a garage that could all use some of this 'decoration' as the Christmas decorations, monthly house decor depending on season, junk, stuff, etc. all need a new home and this is a rescue mission that would help so much. If I could only get a garden shed done before he begins building shelves, I would be all set.

I live with my grandson and since I’ve moved in we are very short of space especially in the laundry, he has to keep his lawn mower in there so I showed him the shelving. I told him it would fit perfectly on the wall where the mower is, he gave me lots of excuses so his girlfriend said, I’ll help you, cos she loves building stuff. Thanks for the inspiration. The best part for me is the whole thing and the fact that we don’t have to attach it to the wall, as we are renting. I then want another one for the dining room lol. He won’t be happy but I will be. If I didn’t have chronic pain id try and do it myself, except I’m getting too old to do anything now. I can be a good supervisor though. I’m so glad I watched this video. I’ve been meaning to binge watch Ana’s videos, one of the lady’s whose crafting videos I watch told me about her and said that I would love her videos and she wasn’t wrong. Thank you very much ladies.

This was awesome, loved it! I watched a lot of videos before building mine in my garage last year. Unfortunately, I didn’t take the “temporary” approach. So mine will have to stay with the garage when I move. I love the mobile facet of your build. Could go anywhere in the future.
