I just think the rich man's problem was that he wasn't satisfied by 'just' the Kingdom. Having realised he already does what Jesus said was necessary, he wanted to be Perfect. And that's when Jesus said Sell everything. Isn't it Good News that we don't have to be Perfect to get into the kingdom?

The issue is attachments not stuff. The issue is whether you think your stuff defines you as a human being. The issue is the lens of materialism vs the much larger spiritual and supernatural world. The issue is everything belongs to God.

The way this narrative is presented in this video sadly resembles the socialist mindset. It's absolutely ok for families to flourish. It's OK to build wealth and enjoy what God grants us. Just make sure every step you take and everything you do is for His Glory! ... not yours. Open your hearts. Humility and love thy neighbor. Just don't become attached to your stuff while losing your trust in God and His will.
