I was a high agency, high energy person who grew up in a small town where everyone kind of shamed you for standing out. I started smoking weed and discovered it lessened my intensity and made me an easier pill to swallow for
But it also dulled my spirit and personality, and I would give anything to go back and make a different choice.
Point is, don't ever let anyone make you feel ashamed of who you are, especially if you're a person who brings the vibe up in every room you step into

To categorize your friends is crazy 😂😂 especially when u mention sofa friends as someone whos draining to you and that u need to a sofa to sit on. Bro needs some shrooms or tabs to kill some of that ego holy. There is no way you are a “high agency friend” yourself (whatever tf that is) with that kind of mindset

My best mate genuinely falls asleep on the sofa next to me every time he comes over…
I’m definitely lowest of the low agency but I still put that more down to the fact he’s up at 5am everyday and working 10+ hours.

Simplistic bias against temperaments who challenge you, i.e. those who remind us that not all of life is "positive" or giving ME "energy". One's resistance to that challenge could very well be YOUR "low agency". When I went through a very tough, heavy time in life the so-called "high agency" people weren't around to support me. Couldn't handle it. Didn't want to. One left me high and dry, because I wasn't being "positive". WELL...it wasn't a positive time according to his sugar-sweet X-games mindset. So? I consider him and the like moth-eaten, filthy sofas deserving of the landfill. Sometimes, dealing with the popular "High Agency" types can ironically be draining. Denial and/or Hypocrisy in them can be a toxic b*tch.

Is this clip saying that calm energy is bad and buzzed energy is automatically good? There are an equal amount of people who react and work better with calm energy feeding them as opposed to overly energetic energy. I don't know if the speaker is saying buzzed energy is high agency if so I would say that is not correct in high stress environments. Each are high agency given the correct environments. But please correct me if I am incorrect in my understanding.
