Honestly, I feel this in a way.
My friend of 8 years changed a lot. I believe in God & the things she does now doesn't align with my moral values. I try to support her as a friend but I cannot stand the stuff she is doing. Like being a sugar baby, having casual sex, talking down on how other people look, seeking validation from men/social media etc. Now everytime we meet all she talks about is her problems. As a follower of Christ I try to gracefully tell her my opinion but at the end I think it's best for me to distance myself. She found new friends who basically does the same thing & affirm what she does.

Amazing video. 👏 I just told a friend I'm feeling extra needy & insecure. How I was afraid of burning him out. Exposing my feelings with him felt so good. He said he's not picking up on those emotions, but he understands. My method of self-preservation is to hide or run away before anyone else can. When I opened up about that, he said he understood and didn't want me to feel those negative feelings. He assured me he wasn't going anywhere. There is a beauty in vulnerability.

Question to you Courtney: what do you do when you don’t really have a network to fall back to. Maybe you don’t have the best family relations and maybe you don’t have a lot of friends. Is it weird for you to than cling a bit more to a particular friend?

Also what is the right balance between having your needs met and being clingy (to the point of jealousy)? I feel like this is somewhat of a natural result, if your needs have not been met.
