This is the best debit card of 2023, period. The Charles Schwab High Yield Investor Checking Account. I have had my account for 6 years now and it’s my go to card when it comes to accessing my cash, especially while traveling. The account has next to no fees, it’s the perfect set it and forget account out there. The only downside is the “High Yield” naming, at .4% APY it is very much not high yield in any sense. I would recommend you use this card as a staging card for cash access. Bank with any banks of your choosing especially given some of the attractive APYs out there. But load money to Schwab Debit when you’re planning to travel.

Yeah, if you ever need cash, you need the Charles Schwab debit card. The ATM fees in Vegas on The Strip are up to $10. It’s amazing to know I’ll get it refunded every time.

Just make sure if you are overseas and you withdraw cash that you decline the ATM banks conversion fee and use Charles Schwab’s rate. They will only refund you their fee.

Keep in mind this is a Visa Platinum card as well, so all purchases will be handled as such, like purchase protection, extended warranty, etc.

I have them for years, no doubts a good way of growing and saving your money is through investing . You don't need to have much before you can invest. "That little money you have now can make you millions if you invest it wisely". I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 3 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing is a grand choice I made

Dude YES. The Charles Schwab debit card is the king of debit cards no doubt 👑 No ATM fees worldwide is an insane perk! Thanks for sharing this with people John.

I got the Schwab debit card and kept my current 2% yield Discover checking and savings accounts (their customer service is EXCELLENT). However, I can easily transfer whatever $$ I need to my Schwab account and withdraw what I need. It's basically just a door to fee free cash, and best of all I keep a minimum amount of my money exposed to fraud on my Schwab card!

Citibank is better worldwide. I am a 10+ year Expat and already filled multiple passports. They have zero ATM fees worldwide at Citibank ATM's (I have seen them in almost every country I have been to) and they also reimburse the ATM fees off network every 30 days if you can't find one. Also zero foreign transaction fees. The issue I had with Charles Swabb is they acted funny about me being an expat and eventually limited my account and cut my debit card off. I could only wire and ACH in and out. Thats some bullshit when you are in a foreign country.

Charles Schwab customer service treats you like a King too. All their representatives are very nice in my experience when I call in.

I’m getting this debit card because I’m sick and tired of paying the ATM fee at the dispensary. Thank you for the video!

I love Charles Schwab. I have the debit card, and I take everywhere I travel. I primarily travel to South America and Asia, and 90% of the countries are cash societies, so the no fee atm really helps.

The customer service is also great. I actually forgot my debit card at home once, and they managed to ship a new debit card to my Air B&B in Hanoi for free. That was legit!

I have this and about to switch fully to Charles Schwab once my Bank of America checking runs out at 25 years old. I've had Schwab for 6 years too.

some credit unions have debit cards that are points earners, but it's like spend $4 get 1 point, and each point is only worth 1 cent for redemption on their travel portals and sometimes less for their gift cards. We have that, and I used to use this a lot... before I knew better. Also, those same credit unions, if you get a car loan, or mortgage through them, you get a ton more points... and those points can go toward lowering future loan interest rates. We have a car loan that is 2% because we redeemed like 10K-20k of their points. lol.

it's strange, the debit card has price protection, extended warranty, purchase protection, etc. I've never seen that in a debit card.

Do you have a video, or can we get one on the buy borrow die strategy?
I was using Schwab, but started also using Merrill because I thought Schwab didn't do that lending.

How does Schwab checking/debit card compare to the American Express one?

hey John I have a cpc account and it also gives me no atm fee world wide and I am taking a trip to Thailand next March. I was thinking of using my card to pull out money from the atm there instead of doing the exchange but I was wondering if the banks there would give you the true exchange rate or can the bank just make up their own exchange rate?

Lesson I learned from his previous videos: If is too good to be too. It is too good to be true, remember kids you control your life. This wisely. Cheers
