The Best Prepaid Debit Card With No Fees (2021)

Prepaid debit cards can be an alternative option to a bank checking account. They can be expensive if you don’t know how to do your research and compare different cards. I’ve done all the research for you and came across some cards that take advantage of customers by hiding their fee schedules.

Green Dot is just one example. It’s normal to charge monthly maintenance fees, but there was one pay-as-you-go card that charged fees PER TRANSACTION! There are cards from other companies that do the same! So don’t just pick any card.

By law, companies are required to disclose their fees, so I show you where to find it.

I concluded that the American Express Bluebird Card and American Express Serve Card are the best cards out there today. But watch the entire video, because I am here to teach you how to critically think and approach the decision-making process.

Very helpful for Canadian travelers like me. I figured this out on my own 2 years ago when I was at a Walmart in New York State. I literally spent 40 minutes looking at all the prepaid debit cards. It's easier to compare the different cards in person because they are forced to list all hidden fees. The only downside to the Bluebird Amex is there are some places that do not accept American Express.

My 2 biggest issues with Amex Bluebird is that, American Express is not accepted everywhere especially not at Costco where I do 95% of my grocery shopping. And also the bluebird website does not allow you to connect to it while being connected to a VPN. That is especially unsafe if one is using wifi to connect to their banking accounts.

just had a green dot cash back card. My experience is that I hate the monthly 10$ fee and how it charges you it every month. It also costs 5$ to reload money into it and it just sucks.

I just received my FREE Bluebird card today in the mail and I'm hoping I can pay my bills with it and not have any problems with AMEX not being accepted. That's the only complaint I keep seeing about American Express is that it's not accepted at certain places but my question is WHERE is it not accepted. I wanna load this up for free at Walmart and pay bills only with it.

I got a serve green card thinking there were no fees in texas but they were charging me 9.95 a month and when i tried calling there was no one to talk to, only automated to i withdrew my money and closed it

I just bought one about 90 minutes ago at Walmart and they only had one left so I was lucky. Do you recommend registering and getting the personalized card? Or is this temporary card ok for reloading and making online purchases which is the only thing I'm going to use it for?
