Help needed: I followed the instruction all the way to remote desktop. When I enter ip address for remote desktop, it tries to open the remote desktop but then suddenly it closes

the rdp connects and it asks for xorg user and pass, i put in my unix user and pass and then black screen for one sec then disconnects
