Model X $3500
Model 3 $1800
Model Y $2000

It does transfer to a new owner if you sell the car

Exclusions (just some)
There are specific items that are not covered by the Extended Service Agreement (ESA) including, but not limited to: consumable and maintenance parts (e.g., filters, liquids, batteries, brake pads), suspension alignment, appearance care (cleaning and polishing), shock absorbers, upholstery wear and tear, wheels, tires and components that have their own separate warranty, such as the high voltage battery and drive unit. For a complete list, refer to the ‘Exclusions’ section of your Extended Service Agreement Terms and Conditions.

Rolling marble sound is a rock on the underside cover. Remove the cover and toss the rock. While there rust protect the oil filter since it can rot out from the outside. Also rust protect the ground connections. I use a product called Rustcure.

You're exactly right when you talk about they've done the math! We learn this in marketing in college, the pricing of the car is attributed to them covering this warranty. So that's why a BMW would cost more because their warranty was more. It's all a formula! So understand when people think that all of the items in their car start tearing up right when the warranty goes out, again, that's part of the formula. They know when to pull the trigger and when it's going to cost more than what the price they can sell the car is worth.

You should be able to lift the rear seat with just two latches under the seat. Should be roughly between the legs of the passengers sitting on the seat on either side. Super simple and easy to remove to check for that sound. Plenty of YouTube videos on this if you wanted to look it up for yourself

$2k for only 2 years of additional coverage is steep. It should be more like 4 years

Under your seat is a vent...shine a light in the vent from the back seat and remove whatever is making the sound

I’m with you on this. I believe you are going to be ok.

Pro tip - you can ask Tesla to buy 2 simultaneous extended service contracts. That way if they decline repairs on one you can appeal and ask them if they’ll cover it under the other. No one is talking about this!

Palo Alto CA service has also been salutary. I felt spoiled.

I have my 2020 M3 and never extended the warranty at that time. I've only had small issues here and there but never amounted to the $2K for the extended warranty. My 2020 M3 has currently 83K miles. I instead left the $2K in my savings account accumulating 4.6% APY. So, I did a hard pass on the extended warranty at that time. Not worth it.

I agree. Probably the biggest risk is the AC going out and you basically have $2100 to throw at it.

Regarding that noise I had the same thing
Take it to service it’s pebbles that got into the car from underneath it’s true thank me later

Good video as usual. Is the high voltage battery guaranteed for 10 years or 150000 miles in California? I get mixed messages. Thanks.

I purchased a used 2021 Model Y a few weeks ago
Through Tesla, my Model Y is still until the manufacturer's warranty. I believe my alignment is off, and my breaks vibrate when I do have to use the breaks. Does anyone know if the manufacturer's warranty covers breaks and the alignment?

I disagree, I would always recommend the extended warranty IF you can afford it.

This video has been an eye-opener for me, and I appreciate your willingness to share your expertise. On another note, your countenance exhibits an unexpected parallel to those with neurodevelopmental disorders, echoing the innovative essence of Elon Musk's endeavors. Looking forward to more videos!
