10/7 = (a³ + b³)/(a+b) = (a² + b² - ab) = (a+b)² - 3ab = 49 - 3ab.
So 3ab = 49 - (10/7) = (343 - 10)/7 = 333/7. Thus ab = 111/7.
So (a⁻¹+b⁻¹) = (b+a)/(ab) = 7/(111/7) = 49/111. Dhanyavaad, Sir-ji.

a^3+b^3=(a+b)^3-3ab(a+b) is a piece of trivia in Japanese mathematics.

⇔ ab=333/21=111/7.

I don't understand ?Why do you use a complex method to solve a problem؟ 😞😞

If you use ab=111/7 and b=7-a, you can find that there are no real number solutions to this first pair of equations.

It would be very helpful if it was made clear that problems like this one are not based on REAL numbers.

I think it was too easy
I did it orally before watching the video

I did it a little differently and used a^3 + b^3 identity to get => (a+b)(a^2 + b^2 - ab) and then plugged the values and got 10=7(a^2 + b^2 - ab) and then from given found the value of a2+b2=49-2ab (I squared the given info of a+b=7 and then tranposed 2ab to get the value of a2 + b2) and the after putting the value and calculations got ab=111/7 and the just put the values in b+a/ab and got the ans

thank you so much! these videos are really great and also encoraged me to do math olympiad problems and has worked out fine with the help from you and the thinking brain of mine. i think everyone would appreciate if you made a book. really. maybe you should try mixing up the ingrediants in your math videos starting from the first video to the latest one. that is this one. if you do it please let me know. i will be honoured to have such book. thank you once more. bye
