This is a very early Sedelmaier Commercial. Sedelmaier was an Advertising Agency out of Chicago. They were famous for the "Where's the Beef" Wendy's commercial as well as Federal Express and PSA, etc. etc. Amoco was the first company that I can recall in the USA that sold Lead Free gasoline. It was back as far as 1967. By 1971 most gasoline brands offered a lead free gas as many new automobiles required to due to emission equipment. BP which owns the Amoco Brand just opened up a dozen new Amoco Stations in the New York area. They are reviving the name.

This commercial probably would've run in the upper midwest where Amoco (Standard Oil of Indiana) had rights to the "Standard" name. It was late to be actually using it, too (as opposed to keeping one station per state branded "Standard" to maintain rights).
